The MRC will be hosting a vaping presentation for the community on February 11th from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. The presentation will be given by the Regional Tobacco Coordinator from the Texas Department of State Health Services and will be focused on e-cigarette use. The presentation will be held at MCHD in the boardroom.

As of March 8, 2024, COVID-19 is no longer a notifiable condition in Texas. DSHS has updated the Texas school exclusion criteria to align the requirement for COVID-19 with those for other respiratory viruses like flu. Students now only need to be excluded from school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication. Please see the updated Communicable Disease Chart for your reference.
